What is the Cedar Tree Mental Health Awareness course?
The Cedar Tree Mental Health Awareness course is an online interactive workshop that provides an overview and understanding of the mental health landscape. Providing tools to look after your own and others mental health & well-being, insights into the factors that affect our mental health & well-being, information on the protective and risk factors for mental ill health and an understanding of adverse childhood experiences and its impact on a person life and health.


The Format   

  • Duration: 1 day
  • Venue: Face 2 Face or Online.     
  • Style: Live & interactive - Learning takes place through a mix of group activities, presentations, discussions and videos.

  • Mental Health Statistics in the UK.
  • Mental Health in the Workplace
  • The risk and protective factors of Mental ill-health.
  • Mental Health Stigma.
  • How to help someone to recover their health by guiding them to further support. 
  • Tools on how look after your own mental well-being.
  • How to support someone with mental ill-health.
  • Early childhood adversity, the teenage brain and the health outcomes in adulthood.
  • And there will be a story of hope through lived in experience of mental ill-health.

How will attending this training help?

The Mental Health Awareness course can also be run over

2 half days or

4 evenings or
(weekends are also possible)

Each session is approximately 2 hours 

(depending on how involved group members participate and discussions. )
